On Monday, Morocco started distributing vaccine doses to country’s region. The trucks departed from the storage and went to different towns carrying shipments of the vaccine developed by the UK AstraZeneca pharmaceuticals manufactured in India.
MAP News agency reported that Morocco has secured 66 million doses of vaccine, receiving the first shipment of 2 million doses from AstraZeneca and expecting the other shipment of SinoPharm vaccine from China to arrive on Wednesday. Once vaccination campaign starts the government plans to prioritize medical, educational, public authority and security services.
At the moment, Morocco has 466 000 cases, 442 000 recovered and 8 150 deaths.
